Pick what it is first.

The first question when you create a community is what kind it is, because the form changes after that. A study group should not be asked for a registration address; a school should not be asked to pretend it is a group chat.

Schools and classes Businesses and NGOs

The seven types.

You choose one when you create it. Nothing here is cosmetic — each one decides which fields you are asked for and what the community looks like to someone who finds it.

Personal — Your own room. Private by default, and it stays out of search.
Private — A real group with a closed door. Findable, but people have to ask.
Public — Anyone who finds it can walk in.
Educational institution — A school, a college, a coaching centre. Unlocks classes and staff seats.
Business — A shop, a company, a team. Carries the organisation face.
NGO — Same organisation face, for a non-profit.
Others — Everything that does not fit the six above.

A room, and rooms inside it.

Every community is a room: messages, voice notes, photos, calls — the same conversation surface as the rest of Cyca, because it is the rest of Cyca.

A school or a large organisation can hold more rooms inside it. Class 8 is a room. So is the staff room, or a project, or a year group. Each one has its own members, its own count, and its own person in charge.

Members and counts — Everyone can see how many people are in the room and how many are online right now.
Presence, as everywhere else — The call button in a community wears live presence like every other call button on Cyca. You know who will pick up before you dial.
Nothing is hidden from its own members — A room is not a feed. What is posted is what is there, in order.

Who can see it.

Visibility is a switch, not a type. The default follows the type you picked, and you can change it.

Public — Shows in search, and the (+) on the card joins immediately.
Private — Shows in search, but the card offers Request to join instead. An admin approves or ignores. A declined request is silent — nobody is told no in front of other people.
Personal — Not in search at all.

Search reads names and descriptions. A private community's invite code is never returned in a search result — it would walk straight past the door the owner closed.
