Verification

The tick means somebody actually checked.

Anyone can name a room after a school. Verification is the difference between a name and a claim somebody stood behind.

How you ask for it.

Any community that is not a personal room can ask — when it is created, or any time afterwards from the community's own page. You send the organisation face you have filled in: the name, the address, the contact number, the email contacts, the websites.

  1. You request it

One row on your community page.

  2. We freeze what you sent

The page is snapshotted exactly as it was at that moment, so a case is judged on what was submitted — not on something edited afterwards.

  3. A person reads it

Not a score, not an automatic check.

  4. We may ask for more

If something is missing, the case stays open and we say what is missing rather than rejecting you for it.

  5. You get an answer

Approved or not, in writing, in the app.

What the person deciding actually sees.

Two columns: the organisation face as you submitted it, and the same page as it is now. Underneath, every step the case has been through and who took it.

That is deliberate. A verification that only looks at the live page can be gamed by editing the page; one that only looks at the snapshot cannot see that the room has since become something else.

Where the answer lands.

In your chats, as a conversation called Cyca Verification. The request lands there, any follow-up question lands there, and so does the decision — each as a card you can go back and read.

It is a one-way channel: we write, you do not reply into it. Where to send documents is written on the card itself, so there is no guessing at which address is the right one.

Verification is about identity, not endorsement. A tick says this community is who it says it is. It is not a rating, a licence, or a recommendation, and it can be removed if the room stops being what was verified.

A name, a picture, and the people in it. Classes, staff seats and the verified tick are there when you need them. All of it free.
