Community guidelines Privacy

Setting one up.

Does it cost anything? — No. Creating a community, adding classes, issuing staff codes and asking for verification are all free.
Can I change the type later? — The organisation details and visibility can be edited from the community page. Pick the closest type at creation and fill in the rest afterwards.
How many people can be in one? — There is no cap you will meet in practice.
Can one account run several? — Yes — a school, your shop and your football side, from the same phone.

Staff, classes and codes.

A teacher lost their code — An admin regenerates it from the staff list. The old one stops working immediately.
Somebody claimed the wrong seat — An admin can change anyone's role from the member list.
Can a teacher open their own class? — Yes. Anyone holding a staff seat can create a class room.
Does claiming a seat make me lose owner? — No. A claim only ever grants a role, never removes one.

Verification and privacy.

How long does verification take? — A person reads every case, so it depends on the queue and on whether anything was missing. You will see it move in the Cyca Verification conversation.
What happens to the documents I send? — They are attached to the case and used to decide it. The privacy policy covers what we keep and for how long.
Is a private community readable by us? — Cyca is not end-to-end encrypted and we have never said it is — the data security page sets out exactly what that means and what we do with what is stored.
Can I leave? — Any time, from the community page. Deleting your Cyca account removes you from every community you are in.

What is not allowed.

The community guidelines apply inside every room, private ones included. A moderator can flag; an admin can remove, block or ban; and anything reported to us is read by a person.
