The call button that knows who's online

Every messenger shows presence somewhere — a dot on an avatar, a "last seen" line, an "online" under a name. But you don't dial an avatar. You dial a call button. So we put the answer where the question is.

Green means they'll pick up

From this week's builds, the call buttons in Cyca wear live presence. When someone is online right now, their call button turns bright green. When they're away, it stays quiet. Open your calls list and the whole question of "is now a good time?" answers itself in one glance — before you dial, not after five rings.

As far as we can tell, nobody has done this before. Presence indicators are as old as instant messaging, but they've always lived next to the action. Putting the state on the button you press is the difference between a dashboard and an instrument.

Your own light

The same idea, turned around: the compose button — the round + you already use every day — now wears your connection. Green when you're connected, iron grey when you're offline, a slow spin while reconnecting. No banner shoving your chats down, no wondering whether that message actually left the phone. State lives in a dot, not a shout.

And nine sounds that mean something

The same builds carry a full tone suite: a new order sounds different from a job ping, which sounds different from a message, which sounds different from a call. Sellers learn to hear money; drivers learn to hear work. Your ears get the same glanceability your eyes just did.
