Getting started

What is Cyca?

One app for three things that normally need three apps: your conversations (messages, voice notes, voice and video calls), live shopping (sellers broadcast and you buy inside the stream), and delivery (a driver carries it to your door while you watch on a map). Every order comes with a private thread to the person who sold it to you.

Is Cyca free?

Yes. The app is free to download and free to use. Opening a shop, going live, creating a community and applying to drive are all free, and Cyca takes no commission on what you sell. Two things carry a flat 99¢ platform fee, always shown before you confirm: a PickMe ride, and a partner pickup (a shop moving an order it took somewhere else). Never a percentage.

Which phones does it work on?

iPhone and Android. Get it from the App Store or Google Play.

Do I need an account to watch a live?

No. A live has a link, and the link opens in a browser. You need an account to buy, to comment, or to message the seller.

Are there ads?

No. There are no ads in Cyca, and nothing in the app is ranked to sell you attention.

Messages and calls

What does the green ring on a call button mean?

Live presence. Green means that person is online right now, so you know who will pick up before you dial. A softer state means they were here a moment ago, and no ring means they are away. It is on every call button in the app.

Do Cyca calls ring when my phone is locked?

Yes. A Cyca call rings on the lock screen like a phone call — not as a notification you have to catch in time.

Can I share my screen on a call?

Yes, on a voice or video call.

Is Cyca end-to-end encrypted?

No, and we have never claimed it is. Traffic is encrypted in transit and messages are stored on our servers, which is what makes multi-device, history and support work. The data & security page sets out exactly what that means, and the privacy policy covers what is kept.

Buying and selling

How do I sell on Cyca?

Open a shop from your profile — a name, an address and one thing to sell is enough. You can then list products in a storefront and go live to sell them in a stream, with up to five products pinned in the live. Start selling walks through it.

What does Cyca charge sellers?

Nothing to open a shop, nothing to list, nothing to go live, and no commission on a sale. The one priced thing a shop can buy is a partner pickup — a driver for an order you took somewhere else — at the run's fare plus a flat 99¢.

How do people pay?

Cash on delivery, or directly to the seller. Cyca does not sit in the middle of the money.

Can someone buy from me without the app?

Yes. Your storefront and your live have a link that opens in any browser, and a shop can print a QR code that opens the same thing. One link everywhere explains it.

Delivery

How do I track an order?

When a driver takes it, a live map opens in the order thread: their vehicle on real streets, the route to your address, and a button to talk to them.

Can a driver carry orders from a shop that does not sell on Cyca?

Yes — that is a partner pickup. The shop pastes or photographs its own order, a driver is sent, and it runs on the same map with the same proof and rating as anything else. Drivers choose whether they take them: see pick what you carry.

How do I drive for Cyca?

Apply in the app: your area, your hours and your vehicle. A person reads every application. You can drive freelance inside your own circle, for specific shops you choose, or deliver your own shop's orders. See joining.

Who sets the delivery fee?

On an order placed inside Cyca, the driver sets it and keeps all of it. On a partner pickup the run is priced by distance and time — that fare goes to the driver, plus a flat 99¢ to Cyca.

So what does Cyca actually make money on?

Today, one thing: a flat 99¢ on a PickMe ride and on a partner pickup. There is no commission on anything sold, no listing fee and no subscription, and there are no ads.

Communities

What is a Cyca community?

A room for a group that already exists — a school, a shop, an NGO, a club. It can be public (anyone joins), private (people ask), or personal. Schools can hold a room per class, each run by its own teacher. See Communities.

What does the verified tick on a community mean?

That a person checked the organisation behind it against what they submitted — the name, address, contact details and websites. It is a statement about identity, not an endorsement, and it can be removed. How verification works.

How do I get into a class in my school's community?

Ask at the class door and say who you are — a roll number is usually enough. The teacher who runs that class approves it.

Your account and your data

How do I delete my account?

From the app: Profile → Settings → Delete account. It removes your account and takes you out of every community you are in. The account deletion page explains what is deleted and what has to be kept.

Do you sell my data?

No. Cyca does not sell personal data and there are no advertising trackers in the app.

How do I get a copy of my data?

Write to [email protected] from the address or number on the account and ask. The privacy policy covers the rest.

How do I report someone or something?

Report it from the chat, the live or the community it happened in, or write to [email protected]. A person reads it. The community guidelines say what is not allowed.
