Order updates now have their own channel

When you buy from a live seller on Cyca, a lot happens after the tap: the order is accepted, prepared, dispatched, and handed over. Each of those steps is worth telling you about. Until now, each of them also landed in your personal chat with that shop — the same thread where you had asked whether the mangoes were ripe.

That was the wrong place. Automated updates and human conversation have different rhythms, and mixing them meant the human half kept getting buried.

A separate, one-way channel

Every buyer–shop pair now gets an Order updates channel alongside the normal chat. Order cards go there. Conversation stays where it was.

  • Buyers see it as <Shop> · Order updates, carrying the shop's photo.
  • Sellers see the mirror: Order updates · <buyer>, never badged for their own actions — you don't get a notification for a button you just pressed.
  • There is no composer. The channel is a notice board, not a conversation, and replying to it is structurally impossible rather than merely discouraged.

If you want to actually talk about an order, every card deep-links into the order page, and the order page has a Support button that opens a real thread with the seller — pre-filled with the order so nobody has to ask "which one?"

The receipt page

Tapping an order number opens a full receipt: itemized lines, unit price, count, subtotal, the payment method, and where it ships to. Above it sits a timeline — Ordered, Accepted, On the way, Arrived, Delivered — with every step timestamped. Completed steps tick in as they happen, the current step breathes, and the line fills green behind it.

If an order ends badly, the timeline says so plainly: a red end node, the reason attached, no guessing.

Notifications that actually clear

One quieter fix shipped alongside. A conversation made only of order cards could never zero its unread badge, because both mark-read paths skipped system messages and the server never got told. Opening the channel now clears it, for good.
